Barnabas Zentrum is an interdenominational counseling retreat program designed for Christian workers serving in Eastern and Western Europe , Africa , Asia , and the Middle East . Barnabas Zentrum offers counseling retreats for singles/couples and for families with children. The single and couples retreats are held at Pension Eden in Baden, Austria and the family retreats are at Schloss Heroldeck in Millstatt , Austria .

Special intervention weeks for mission teams with special problems are also offered (please inquire directly).   Seminars concerning marriage issues, conflict resolution, transitions, etc. are available either in Baden or at your ministry site.  The Krauses are also available to the english speaking community in the greater Vienna area.

Retreats involve two weeks of intense involvement combining both group and individual sessions.  Because of the "retreat" location where participants are not distracted by home or work issues, their concerns can become the center of focus.  Each retreat allows for a maximum of eight people in order to provide for the intimacy needed to work through problems. Weekdays include morning sessions of group interaction with afternoons set aside for individual/couple consultations and learning experiences.  The number of contact hours spent in a retreat is equivalent to about six months of conventional weekly counseling.  Free afternoons and weekend provide time for relaxation, reflection and recreation.  

Retreats begin with individual evaluations.  Guided by the results, the course of the retreat is tailored to meet the individual as well as common needs of the retreat participants.  Although group sessions are conducted, private matters shared in individual sessions are held confidential and exempt from group discussion.

If married, both spouses are required to attend.  Singles of course are welcome.
